Post by Jobing - JOB SUMMARY: The primary responsibility of this position includes submission of properly executed claims utilizing the Resou! rce and Patient Management System (RPMS) in an accurate and timely manner to all third party payers and responsible parties. Responsible for correcting and rebilling of accounts previously submitted. Research and finalize coordination of benefits claims (liability cases) to include contacting attorneys, insurance and workers compensation representatives. Ensure that all accounts receivables are posted in a timely and accurate manner, create weekly and monthly management reports from RPMS as needed.
Utilize bookkeeping and accounting procedures, research methods to collect revenue owed to the clinic by third party payers. Monitors and maintains payment receipts, reconciles patient accounts via the RPMS. QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or equivalent; Associates degree in medical or business areas is preferred. Five years of experience in the healthcare industry required.
Knowledge and understanding of Medical terminology, ICDâ€"9â€"CM, CPT/HCPCS coding, ! billing/accounts receivable software programs and customer ser! vice preferred. Towa speaker preferred. Must have a valid driver’s license and be insurable with the tribe’s insurance carrier. Position subject to a favorable criminal and motor vehicle background check.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES: Excellent communication skills written and verbal. Ability to work well with all customers including clients, vendors, and coâ€"workers. Ability to work in an office environment where computers are fully utilized for all documentation, records keeping, communications, billing, and accounting tasks. Ability to learn and understand the RPMS.
Knowledge of (HIPAA) Health Insurance Portability and Accounting Act requirements for handling personal and medical information in a confidential manner.
