Purpose of Position
The lawyer position is responsible for providing counsel to indigent persons charged with crimes in New Mexico state courts.
This position is a Pay Band 85.

Minimum Qualifications:
Current license as an Attorney issued by the Supreme Court of New Mexico or eligible for limited license issued by NM Supreme Court and four (4) years of experience as a practicing attorney. Employment Requirements:
Must possess and maintain a valid New Mexico Driver’s License.
Statutory Requirements:
Current license as an Attorney issued by the Supreme Court of New Mexico or eligible! to practice with a limited license issued by the NM Supreme C! ourt. Copy of current license must be presented at time of hire.
