This position is responsible for advancing the technical processes at Roswell facility through change leadership. Successful leadership and influence of the Technical Management team along with the ability to influence others in all areas of the organization will enable change. The Site Technical Manager must take calculated risks based on fact and thoughtful analysis in order to make recommendations and influence others. The Site Technical Manager will work with many departments in the organization to better understand the needs of both internal and external agencies.

The holder of this position will create and manage an active 5 year asset management strategy. They will lead and influence a multifaceted strategy and transition to a world class maintenance culture. The world class maintenance culture should include not only maintenance and its practices and critical components but also impact the production departments in a step level change in maintenance partnerships. Consistently leverages continuous improvement and lean tools and is a role model across the site in the use of these tools. Builds and maintains a high performance management culture within the Technical functions that are thoroughly integrated across the site by effectively leveraging the LFC Performance Management Process.

The Site Technical Manager serves as the coach, mentor, and advisor in the production, engineering, and maintenance arena. The position holder builds, maintains, and effectively leverages solid relationships with Corporate Personnel in cross-functional business partnerships and government agencies. Incumbent is a consistent communicator, collaborator and invites input and council. The position holder is an active partner in improving processes in all areas of production while maintaining the highest of quality, food safety, financial, and personal safety standards. The position holder manages existing processes and seeks continues improvement in areas where the process is inadequate through change leadership.

The Site Technical Manager is responsible for championing improvement opportunities in production, engineering, utilities, WCM, product quality, procedures, equipment, planning, logistics and warehouse. The Site Technical Manager is a change leader who leverages lean mfg processes through a set of standardized engineering and process tools to improve processes. This process improvement comes through use of sound judgment, analyzing the whole picture and leveraging partnerships.

In order to meet objectives the Site Technical Manager must insure that a large project load is being managed in light of changing priorities and continually raising the bar for project management through prioritization within the maintenance, engineering and 3rd party support teams. The Site Technical Manager is responsible for the development of the Technical Team and must work through the team to achieve results. The Site Technical Manager is responsible for building accountability of projects through ownership from conception to completion and operational stabilization.

Minimum Qualifications:
7-12 years of Maintenance or Engineering management experience Microsoft applications and SAP preferred

Education and Experience:

  • A Mechanical, Electrical or Chemical engineering degree.
  • MBA preferred or other relevant experience.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
  • Proven technical prowess â€" strong engineering thought process.
  • Track record of successful project executions ranging from small to large (>$10MM).
  • Working knowledge/experience with ammonia systems, sanitary design, waste treatment and process controls. Dairy or 3A standards knowledge a plus.
  • Demonstrated capital plan management through cross-functional facilitation and the use of a solid tool set.
  • An advanced ability to measure and manage work â€" is numbers driven.
  • Experience on a plant staff.
  • Experience with quality control and quality systems.
  • Seasoned professional with a strong manufacturing back ground preferably in food or consumer products.
  • Experience across the entire supply chain at increasing levels of responsibility. Engineering, project management and operations are key. Planning, logistics and warehousing are a plus.
  • A good judge of people and their ability.
  • A good person and a strong leader. Motivates people.
  • Has shown an ability to develop technical and operational talent for an organization.
  • An ability to raise the competency and capability of the entire operation.
  • A great coach and teacher. Able to align priorities clearly and concisely. Able to build accountability and ownership at the right levels in the organization.
