Job Description: We are currently recruiting for a paralegal position for a law office of approximately 20 lawyers in Southeastern NM. Responsibilities would include assisting atto! rneys in all aspects of a broad litigation and transactional practice. This is an excellent growth opportunity with a long established NM based law firm.Responsibilities: Review and analyze documents for litigation production. Review transcripts during discovery phase. Conduct database searches and factual research. Organize and maintain pleadings and other document files. Assist with the preparation of motions. Prepare and transmit e-filings with various courts. Use and become proficient in various case management and office software. Prepare for and attend depositions and trials as needed
Qualifications: We require a BS or BA degree with strong academic performance and standing. No prior legal experience or certification is needed, but will be considered in salary determination. We are willing to train the right person who shows the desire and ability to learn the legal profession, and has shown the ability to be a quick learner and productive worker. Must have! the ability to multitask in a fast paced, deadline oriented e! nvironment.Compensation: Salary dependent upon experience and background qualifications.
