Purpose of Position: The purpose of this position is to conduct Administrative hearing on cases involving public assistance and benefit program, i.e. SNAP, TANF, Medicaid, collection actions on overpaid benefits and any other programs administered by HSD(Human Services Department). The Administrative Law Judge ensures the due process rights of all parties are met.
THIS JOB POSTING MAY BE USED TO FILL MULTIPLE VACANCIES. This position is a Pay Band 80.
Classification Description:
Administrative Law Judges, Adjudicator-Advanced
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Public Administration! , Political Science, Business Administration, Social Services ! or Labor Relations and six (6) years of experience in conducting administrative hearings, employment placement, claims adjudication and/or investigations. Any combination of education from an accredited college or university in a related field and/or direct experience in this occupation totaling ten (10) years may substitute for the required education and experience.
Employment Requirements:
Must possess and maintain a valid New Mexico Driver's License. Minimal Statewide travel may be required.
