Purpose of Position:
Incumbent will provide senior level professional legal services for protective services cases in litigation, counsel, interpretation of law, research, analysis, mediation and administrative hearings
This position is a Pay Band 75.
Classification Description:
Lawyers-Operational
Minimum Qualifications:
Juris Doctorate Degree from an accredited school of law and three (3) years of experience in the practice of law.
Employment Requirements:
Must maintain a valid New Mexico Driver's License and must have own mode of transportation for daily travel. A pre-employment background investigation ! is required is conditional pending results. Some statewide tra! vel is required.
Statutory Requirements:
Licensed as an attorney by the Supreme Court of New Mexico or qualified to apply for limited practice license, which requires graduation from an accredited school of law, licensure (in good standing) in another state and sitting for the next eligible State Bar exam.
