Location: Santa Ana Pueblo, New Mexico

Further informations about this job opportunity kindly read the description below. The Safety Coordinator is responsible for managing the Risk Management programs for the Santa Ana Star Casino.
Major Responsibilities/Activities:Safety & Health:
On a daily basis, review and prepare all employee / guest / injury reports ensuring complete and accurate information Organize and schedule employee safety training programs and maintain accurate records noting attendance and comprehensive testing Conduct regularly scheduled site audits and inspections to identify safety deficiencies Recommend and provide corrective actions to eliminate employee / guest accidents, injuries, and hazards Coordinate with applicable agencies to ensure required fire protection tests and inspections are conducted Prepare and maintain policies and procedures related to work place safety, schedules for safety trainings, audits, inspections and system tests, required safety logs and reports, and statistical reports aimed at identifying safety deficiencies Establish guidelines, procedures, and training for emergency response Insurance:
- Investigate, prepare and! appropriately distribute reports for all Workers’ Compensat! ion claims
- Coordinate liability claims with regulators, attorneys, and insurance providers as required
- Participate as necessary in litigation associated with claims as required
- Assist insurers with the risk assessment surveys, perform review of assessment reports and provide management with advice regarding corrective actions
- Maintain accurate records of Certificates of Insurance on all vendors and contractors
- All other duties as assigned
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum Requirements:
- Preference is given to qualified Santa Ana Tribal Members.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field preferred.
- Experience implementing company-wide safety programs preferred.
- Must have advanced computer capabilities.
- Must have knowledge of spreadsheet software and word processing software with use of Microsoft products including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Ac! cess preferred.
- Must have knowledge of HRIS software systems with use of Infinium software preferred.
- Thorough understanding of governmental safety requirements (OSHA, FMLA).
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Pueblo of Santa Ana Gaming and Regulatory Commission key gaming license.
