Be a community resource and work with families affected by addiction and assist them in accessing the appropriate treatment through our Phoenix house network!Phoenix House is seeking an engaging and informed Business Development Manager to join their outreach team and be an ambassador for the organization. The Business Development Manager will be liaising with the community at large in the Staten Island and Brooklyn boroughs. S/he will act the connection between the external customer account and the internal Phoenix House programs and services, reflecting the organizations! mission and values in everyday activities. Through personalit! y, knowledge, experience, and initiative s/he will provide outstanding customer service and distinguish Phoenix House by building excellent and long term relationships in the role.
REQUIREMENTS:
EDUCATION:
Bachelors Degree preferred
EXPERIENCE:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in community outreach and/or sales
Knowledge and experience working with Substance Abuse/Mental Health populations preferred
Experience networking in the Staten Island and/ Brooklyn Boroughs preferred
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:
Ability to achieve admission targets set by management for specified lines of business i.e. insurance
Skilled at building relationships with external referral channels. These will include but not be limited to hospitals inpatient, detox, MMPT programs, rehab centers, physicians, insurance companies, employers, unions, attorneys, MBHO, mental health and substance abuse providers, h! ousing, criminal justice, schools, educational institutions, community groups, parents and coalition/associations
Ability to create and implement new marketing strategies and plans to achieve targets and expand customer base
Excellent at customer service and takes initiative in solving problems and creating solutions for customers
