IDEX Corporation, a NYSE- listed multinational industrial products company with $2 billion in annual sales, is seeking a senior corporate attorney for the position of Assistant General Counsel - Business Operations in its Corporate Law Depar! tment in Lake Forest, Illinois. The position will report to IDEX's Deputy General Counsel.

The primary duties and responsibilities of the position will include:

• Collaborating with IDEX's Deputy General Counsel in providing counsel, advice and guidance to IDEX's Operating Units worldwide
• Negotiating, preparing and reviewing purchase, supply, distributor/sales agent and other contracts for IDEX's Operating Units
• Assisting in mergers and acquisitions, including due diligence and contract preparation and review
• Enterprise Risk Management - Collaborating with IDEX's Deputy General Counsel to proactively identify and manage key legal risks for IDEX's Operating Units
• Collaborating with IDEX's Deputy General Counsel to oversee and implement compliance by IDEX's Operating Units with Corporate Policies and Procedures
• Collaborating with IDEX's Chief Compliance Officer on anti-corruption and trade compliance matter! s
• Handling and managing product regulatory and produc! t liability issues
• Coordinating with outside counsel inside and outside the US

Requirements for the position include:

• Background as a seasoned corporate generalist with considerable experience involving complex business and legal matters
• Strong business knowledge and strategic/conceptual thinking abilities
• Experience handling complicated commercial and business transactions, both domestic and international
• Ability to work independently and properly complete projects in a timely manner.

Excellent organizational skillsCandidates must have at least seven years of relevant experience. The experience may be with a major law firm or a large company. Prior significant work with multinational industrial products companies involving complex commercial and business transactions, mergers and acquisitions, distributor/ sales agent arrangements, export/import issues, product regulatory matters, product liabili! ty issues, and FCPA compliance would be significant pluses.
