Primary responsibility is providing comprehensive Land support for Yates Brothers (Non-operated O&G Partnership), family-owned ranches, and Yates family members in a one person department.

Re! porting Relationships
The position reports directly to the Operations Manager
Role and Responsibilities

• Process Authority for Expenditures (AFE’s) for non-operated expenditures and Division Orders
• Understand values of mineral/royalty property and negotiate terms for sale or leasing of interests
• Interpret, prepare, and negotiate various Oil & Gas contracts including but not limited to Oil & Gas Leases, Farmout Agreements, stipulations, quit claim deeds, mineral deeds, release of oil and gas leases
• Calculate net revenue interest and working interest for wells, acquisitions, divestitures and leasing
• Check chain of title ownership at County, State and Federal levels
• Communicate with attorneys concerning preparation and review of legal documents
• Handle all land related work regarding grazing leases

Qualifications and Education Requirements

• College degree and Minimum 3 years’ ex! perience in Oil & Gas Land work at Landman Level
• CPL ! certification a plus but not required
• Will consider Minimum 7+ year’s O&G Landman level experience in lieu of Degree or CPL.
• Must be computer literate with working knowledge of O&G Land Systems, Microsoft Word, and Excel
• AS400 Artesia Data Systems Land Module Experience a plus but not required

Skills

• Working knowledge of Federal and State Leases and Units, as well as fee leases and titles
• Must be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Must be a self-starter with good organizational skills and attention to accuracy
• Mathematical knowledge in areas of formulas, fractions and decimals
• Must be able to be self-sufficient and work well with others in a close, fast-paced family office environment
• Must have excellent oral and written communication skills
• Must be able to handle stress and time constraints
