Litigation Paralegal
Location: Albuquerque, New Mexico

We are currently recruiting for a Paralegal with Medical Malpractice! / Civil litigation experience for a well established law firm in Albuquerque, NM.
Duties will include: Perform client billing, time reports and expense reports. Coordinate conferences, meetings and appointments for several attorneys. Typing and editing of legal documents. Set up and maintain files. Handle incoming and outgoing mail. Proofread and redline work for accuracy of copy, format, grammar, punctuation and syntax. Receive, screen and transmit telephone calls, conference calls and messages to/from attorneys, clients and staff.
Job requirements:
5 years minimum previous litigation experience required
Experience requesting medical records and preparing in depth medical summaries
Top-notch written and verbal communication skills along with effective interaction skills.
Must have in depth understanding of legal terms and NM court rules & procedures
Gathering appropriate information associated with active case's to inclu! de but not limited to: seeking witnesses, planning the pleadin! g, acquiring affidavits, etc
Excellent proofreading and word processing abilities
Researching skills
Billing
Advanced Microsoft Office, Outlook, and Typing 55+ WPM
