Provide customer service to misdemeanor clients, the general public and county staff at the front desk of the Health and Human Services Department. Suppo! rts the implementation of the Local DWI Program and other related department projects.
Essential Duties:
1. Customer Service a) Greet clients and visitors, and provide accurate information, appropriate services, or direct them to appropriate resources. b) Receive and direct phone calls from the division clients, the public and county staff. c) Accept, process, and document payments. d) Pick up and distribute court documents. 2. Data Processing and File Management a) Create and manage client files b) Data entry in web-based database c) Record client visits d) Prepare and send out client letters and other court correspondence e) Prepare various office and court documents 3. Client Services a) Administer client risk survey to misdemeanor offenders b) Meet with clients to document visit when compliance monitors are unavailable c) Schedule client visits ADDITIONAL DUTIES. a) May require at times to represent Dona Ana County and effectively communicate with co! urt staff such as judges, court administrators and clerks. b) ! Assist other Divisions within Department on various projects, specials events, trainings, presentations, etc. c) All other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Qualifications:
Education. High School diploma or equivalent. Experience. Two years advanced responsible administrative or customer service experience in a high volume environment with a diverse customer base. Education/Experience substitution. In accordance with county policy. Licenses/Certifications. N/A. Other (e.g., post-offer medical exam, polygraph, background check, driverâs license record, etc.). Must pass background and credit check. Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills preferred.
A WRITTEN ASSESSMENT MAY BE ADMINISTERED
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Knowledge of: telephone etiquette and customer service techniques; basic arithmetic; alpha-numeric filing methods; records management procedures; word processing, database, spreadsheet, and email programs; and f! unctional aspects of computer operating systems. Skills in: communication and interpersonal relations to provide effective customer service. Office is a high volume area and requires demonstrated multi-tasking skills.
