Purpose of Position:
Incu! mbent will provide advanced level professional legal services ! for protective services cases in the context of appeals. Incumbent is responsible for assisting the Chief Children's Court attorney on matters of policy and best practice for attorneys and for providing research and advice to the other children's court attorneys. Incumbent will provide advance level professional legal services for protective services cases in the context of litigation as needed throughout the state.
THIS POSTING WILL BE USED TO CONDUCT ONGOING RECRUITMENT AND WILL REMAIN OPEN UNTIL ALL POSITIONS HAVE BEEN FILLED.

THIS JOB POSTING IS FOR A PART-TIME POSITION.

This position is a Pay Band 80.

Classification Description:
Lawyers-Advanced

Minimum Qualifications:
Juris Doctorate Degree from an accredited school of law and five (5) years of experience in the practice of law.

Employment Requirements:
Must possess and maintain a valid New Mexico Driver's License and must have own mode ! of transportation for daily travel. A pre-employment background investigation is required and is conditional pending results. Some statewide travel is required.

Statutory Requirements:
Licensed as an attorney by the Supreme Court of New Mexico or qualified to apply for limited practice license, which requires graduation from an accredited school of law, licensure (in good standing) in another state and sitting for the next eligible State Bar exam.
