AFRY Process Industry Division is now looking for a Technology Specialist, Chemicals to enforce our team serving a variety of industries.
The role of the Technology Specialist is to act as a technology expert in planning or execution phases of clients' investment projects. Depending on your experience and skills profile, your tasks include sales, proposal development, process engineering tasks as well as development in ways of working.
Our team is engaged in the most challenging and multifaceted projects that are shaping the the industry according to the current megatrends in resource and energy efficiency as well as decarbonisation targets. We are acting multinationally and in your daily work, you will co-operate with the strong team in Finland but also with your colleagues in other Nordic countries and central Europe.
You will work as a part of a teams consisting of 20+ professionals with similar background in Finland. Depending on the project scope and location, the network of colleagues reaches our international network with 100+ colleagues across the globe.
Qualifications
The person we are looking for has:
- background in chemical industry, e.g. oil & gas, renewable fuels, base/specialty chemicals, either in industry or engineering
- M.Sc. in Chemical Engineering or Process Technology
- minimum of 2-3 years of experience in process engineering or plant operations
- experience in balancing calculations & process simulation, preparing of equipment specifications and other process engineering documentation and their review
- Ability to develop new solutions and approaches in a client-oriented manner
- Proficiency in English, Finnish is considered as a benefit
Your location could be any AFRY office in Finland, however Oulu or Vantaa are the preferred ones. In this position, moderate traveling (1-4 days per month) is included, both domestic and international.
