Chief Compliance Officer - Health Plan The candidate will be responsible for direction, guidance, support, and oversight. Provides ! leadership as the primary point of contact for Health Plan compliance policies and procedures and oversees the consistent integration of policies/principles. Coordinates and provides guidance to ensure appropriate execution of policy and strategic plans. This includes providing oversight and/or review and approval of programs and processes as well as being easily accessible to provide direction. Build partnerships with management teams at all levels of the organization to ensure they are well equipped to reinforce compliance within their organizations. Advises senior leadership of potential compliance risk areas and recommend appropriate action plans. Ensures policy and processes are capable of effectively preventing and/or detecting violation of law, regulations, or policies and, if necessary, implement appropriate corrective action. Identifies opportunities to provide improvements to the policies/processes. Provides policy interpretation and assessment and communication o! f risk in areas where there may be a lack of policy/laws/regul! ations. Reviews and provides input into business strategies and tactics. Identifies when to refer, seek input, or triage issues to legal, regulatory affairs, operations or business partners. Also needs to have the ability to effectively influence individuals at the highest levels of the organizations supported. Ensures a consistent compliance approach across the organization.

The candidate should have a Four-year college degree. J.D. degree from an accredited law school is strongly preferred, Masters level candidates with appropriate experience will be considered. Should have 5 years of experience in healthcare regulatory, healthcare litigation, or healthcare compliance law, OR 10 years of health plan experience in auditing, compliance or governmental oversight agency. Demonstrated ability to utilize critical decision making skills are needed.
